Writers and Artists I admire

I'm in the process of rereading many writers and poets:
Painting by Kandinsky
Robert Browning, Victor Hugo, Arthur Conan Doyle, Oscar Wilde, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Lev Tolstoi, Henrik Ibsen, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Robert Louis Stevenson, Samuel Clemens, Anton Chekov, Benvenuto Cellini, Ernest Hemingway, Rudyard Kipling, H. Rider Haggard, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Edgar Allan Poe, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Omar Khayyam, Louisa May Alcott, James Clavell, Charles Dickens and some lesser known writers, Franz Werfel (Forty Days of Musa Dagh), Hattie L. Hawley (Adventures in Old World History), Milton Cross (Complete Stories of the Great Operas), Nick Bantock (Griffin and Sabine), James Morier (The Adventures of Haji Baba of Ispahan, Lew Wallace (Ben Hur), Laura Kalpakian (Cosette), O. Henry (Roads of Destiny and others), Alexander L. Nazaroff (Tolstoy the Inconstant Genius), Gerard de Villiers (The Imparial Shah), Henri Troyat (Tolstoy), Jean Baptiste Poquelin de Moliere (The Misanthrope and Tartuffe), Voltaire (Candide), Luigi Pirandello (assorted plays), Israel Horowitz (assoted plays) and eventually, once I'm done with all these, the complete works of William Shakespeare. I hope I live long enough to reread all these writers, poets and playwrites. I've already started trying to get through a book every two nights, but my eyesight is failing and I may have to begin purchasing audio books instead.
I just hope I live long enough !

Probably my favorite modern writer

American Flag

I wonder how many of you know how many stripes there are on the American Flag, I would venture to say that more of my friends (subscribers) from around the world know 3 to 1 to we who live in America. Sad.
